M/S Mount Washington Prepares for Winter Greening and
Renovation.

The M/S Mount Washington, a New Hampshire icon, is gearing up to go green over its next winter break. The boat will be refitted with new technology engines, and be renovated to serve the needs of tomorrow's tourism market.

The new motors exceed EPA tier two marine engine standards, reduce nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide and particulate matter emissions. It is funded in part by a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. This is by no means the first major renovation aboard the Mount Washington. The ship has gone through many incarnations in its long history and each time she has led the way in technology and efficiency.
