Can I bring my child or small toddler on the cruise?

Yes, The Mount Washington is completely enclosed by railings and is completely child-safe.

Mount Washington Cruises does not mail out tickets, however we do mail, email and fax cruise confirmations. We also provide customers with a confirmation number when purchasing over the phone. All tickets are held at the Mount Washington Cruises ticket office until the day of the cruise. Simply bring your confirmation number as well as a photo ID, and you will receive your tickets when you arrive.

Entertainment for Dinner Cruises may vary, and children's activities are limited on those nights that aren't designated for families. While children are permitted on board the ship for most Dinner Dance cruises, some themes and events may be more or less appropriate. We feel that the parent should be the best judge of what is appropriate for their child.
Additionally, on some evenings, including Saturday Evenings and Lobsterfest Cruises, all tickets are the same price and there is no child rate.

Tuesday nights in July and August we offer a family dinner cruise that is very popular and affordable for families. Entertainment and activities are geared for children. Many families find that this is the ideal option for their children to enjoy an evening on the lake. Children under 12 cruise free on this cruise; limit is 1 free child per paying adult. Children 12-16 (and additional children under 12) get A $10 discount.

Be aware that there are some events that are listed as 21 plus only, and in this case children would not be permitted for any reason.

As of January 1, 2006, all vessels operated by the Winnipesaukee Flagship Corporation are smoke-free.

Is it possible to go on a Dinner Cruise and not have dinner?

The Mount Washington offers three evening cruises available for those passengers who would like to cruise and enjoy entertainment but not eat dinner.

On Wednesday evenings in July and August we offer an evening cruise from Weirs Beach at 4:30 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. and from Wolfeboro at 6:00 P.M. These cruises offer an a la carte menu from which you can select from a variety of entrees and an expanded wine list. On this evening passengers are welcome to cruise for just $25, and then dine if they desire.

Is it possible to rent a private function room during a dinner dance cruise?

We do not accept reservations for evening cruises. In order to ensure that you will have tickets for a particular evening cruise, you should purchase tickets in advance. Because we can never accurately predict when or if an evening cruise will sell out, we do not encourage customers to wait until the night of the cruise to purchase tickets.

NOTE: On Wednesday evenings, we recommend passengers purchase their tickets in advance and make a reservation for dinner. Dinner reservations are subject to availability and are made on a first come, first served basis.

Is it possible to hold tickets with a credit card and then pay for them in cash when I arrive?

No. Ticket purchases are non-refundable, and for that reason once a payment is made we are not able to make adjustments to the payment type after the time of purchase.

All cruises are rain or shine, and all tickets are non-refundable. Tickets may be exchanged for a cruise date of equal or lesser value with 24 hours advance notice. Tickets not used on the evening of a cruise may be used for any daytime cruise for the remainder of the season or a Sunday Jazz Champagne Brunch. Mount Washington Cruises is not responsible for passengers missing the boat due to an act of God, transportation difficulties, personal sickness or other personal emergencies.

*Blackout dates may apply. When redeeming unused ticket on a Wednesday Evening, ticket is eligible for cruise fare and entree (with exceptions) in the dining room. Please check with the ticket office for available dates.

Are there age requirements for Dinner Dance Cruises?

All passengers under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. There are a number of cruises throughout the season that are 21 plus only, and these are noted in the brochure and on our web site.

Do I need to make special arrangements for wheelchairs?

Because the Main Deck of the Mount Washington is the only deck that is wheelchair accessible, we need to know if there are wheelchairs in your party in order to make sure that you are seated on this deck.

When ordering tickets over the phone, let the ticket agent know if there is a wheelchair in your party. When ordering online, there is a field on the order form where you can provide this information.

A member of my party requires special dietary considerations. Do you make special arrangements for this?

Most Evening Cruises are buffet style, with multiple entrees and side dishes. At this time we are not able to respond to special dietary considerations, however we are confident that all members of your party will find something that they will enjoy on our buffet line.
Wednesday evenings, passengers have the opportunity to order dinner from a menu that includes a variety of meals. Passengers with dietary considerations may be more likely to find items that appeal to them on this night. If we are notified 72 hours in advance, we will make every effort to accommodate your dietary needs.

If it is bad weather, will the cruise be cancelled?

All cruises are rain or shine. We will only consider cancellation of a cruise when weather poses a potential danger to our passengers, such as with a hurricane or tornado. Lightning does not pose a danger to passengers, and the ship is perfectly safe under those conditions.

Will tickets still be available for purchase on the evening of the cruise?

Because we cannot accurately predict when or if a cruise with sell out, we cannot guarantee that there will be tickets available on the evening of a cruise. Customers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. See our refund policy above.
